This Guideline of Care is part of the Hospital to Home Training package and is used in the newborn care unit to teach nurses about how to provide neurodevelopmentally supportive care.
The Newborn Guidelines of Care were developed as recommendations for the specialised clinical care of small and sick newborns (in low- and middle-income countries).
Their purpose is to inform bedside clinical care providers in the identification and management of common newborn illnesses, as well as step-by-step guidelines for skills and procedures specific to newborn care.
This Guideline of Care is for use in the newborn care unit to teach nurses about cue-based feeding, and how to provide
