Greenhouse farming: Lessons from Nepal’s high-altitude Humla district

This video showcases how greenhouses can transform nutrition and food security in remote Himalayan communities, drawing on Adara’s nearly two decades of experience in greenhouse construction and farming in Nepal’s high-altitude Humla district.

It walks through each stage of greenhouse construction with clear visuals, and features insights from community members and Adara’s local experts.

Greenhouses are a simple yet powerful technology that can provide the Humli community with access to fresh food year-round – even through long, harsh winters when food shortages are common.

We hope this video raises awareness of the benefits of greenhouses and equips more people with the knowledge and tools to build their own – boosting nutrition, food security and income generation.
